The FPOSi we offer is the course of choice for individuals looking to work in the Close Protection field as well as being relevant for those looking to operate as a community first responder or an individual looking to work in a hostile environment.
By completing the FPOSi training course through us you are guaranteed that your instructor has completed Close Protection and Remote Medicine in some of the most hostile environments in the World, to include Iraq, Afghanistan and Africa as an example. All instructors are ex-military having served within the British Army, Parachute Regiment or Royal Marine Commandos and hold a vast experience of Close Protection and medicine in remote areas in the military and civilian sector. These professional skills and experience, together with realistic real life scenario training utilizing actors are what set our courses apart.
To allow ample time to teach the broad range of skills required, the FPOSi course runs over 3 days and upon successful completion final certification is through our Awarding Organisation AoFAQ.
Our FPOSi course provides you with the intermediate skills for the management of a broad range of common emergencies in addition to those faced by security professionals:
- Initial patient assessment
- Mangement of Circulation and shock
- Respiration and airway management
- Basic Life Support
- Treatments for a range of medical emergencies
Please note: This course is recognized with the SIA as the First Aid qualification of choice when operating as a Close Protection Operative.
Courses are packed with theory and practical activities to keep you engaged throughout the course. The training is intense and some exercises will finish late therefore candidates must be prepared for a demanding period of instruction.
