Personal Safety Awareness

The Personal Safety Awareness course has been put together by Summit Security Services Ltd to meet the needs of our clients and assist them in keeping safe at work and travelling to and from work.
Delegates will be taught how to identify and implement best practises when working in isolation or when working within somebody else’s premises. Delegates will be shown how to have awareness when travelling on foot and how to use counter surveillance, when travelling by car and when parking in multi storey car parks, travelling by public transport and how to carry out personal risk assessments.
Delegates will also be taught a number of breakaway techniques which may include:
- Bear hugs
- Edge weapon attack from front and rear
- Front hair grab
- Rear hair grab
- Strangle from front and rear
- Ground escapes
- Legal issues in the use of force
- Headlocks
- Defence against kicks
- Defence against punches
- Defence against bites
This course is also open to members of the general public who wish to undertake training to ensure they possess more confidence when travelling alone.
